About Glan Mydyr | Yurts Aberaeron

Why visit Glan Mydyr?

Close to Georgian harbour town of Aberaeron known as “the jewel of Cardigan Bay” and the popular coastal town of Newquay.

Glan Mydyr is a 6 acre site set in a wooded valley. The yurts are positioned on an acre of meadowland on the banks of River Mydyr (Glan Mydyr). It is the perfect retreat to escape the demands of modern life. Wake up to the sounds of birds and the gentle sound of the river. Spend your evenings star gazing whilst sitting around the campfire with only the sounds of the resident barn owls to break the silence.

The toilet block has solar heated showers and flushing toilets, one for ladies, one for gents and one with disabled access.

The Roost is a communal building with a fully equipped kitchen with gas hob and larder fridge (no oven or freezer). Woodburner with comfy sofas, table and chairs and a cupboard which houses books and games for those rainy days.

There are two ponds which are magnets for wildlife.
